For the past two years, it has been a pleasure to serve as Resident Fellow in Ceramics at the Steel Yard in Providence. The Steel Yard is an award-winning industrial arts center, a manufacturer of custom and functional public art, a school, a shared studio, and Providence's most unique private outdoor venue.
I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide range of talented residents: blacksmiths and steel fabricators, silversmiths and ceramic artists. It’s been fun and inspiring to teach community classes in all things clay: from wheelthrowing to glaze calculation. The Steel Yard is a rare and unique hive of creativity.
Thank you, Yardies!
